Example: Remind yourself to relax in the evening

Requires a shortcut that runs your evening HomeKit scene.

Step 1: Create a new Pushcut notification

Add a new notification in the Pushcut app.

Set the name to Evening and enter notification text and title.

Step 2: Add an action

Tap Add Action, call it Run evening scene, and select the shortcut that runs your HomeKit scene.

Step 3: Create a local trigger

Tap Add Trigger and select Weekly.

Select days and time, and tap Done.

Step 4: Finish up

Select the desired notification sound, and tap Save.

Tap Test Notification to see how it will look like.

Step 5: Never forget to relax again

You did it! You will now get a friendly reminder Monday to Friday to start your evening.

Expand your notification to get access to your Run evening scene action.

Example: Unlock your front door when you get home

Requires a shortcut that opens your smart lock.

Step 1: Create a new Pushcut notification

Add a new notification in the Pushcut app.

Set a name and enter a welcoming title.

Step 2: Add an action

Tap Add Action, call it Unlock front door, and select the shortcut that opens your smart lock.

You can use the Test Notification button in the notification editor to make sure that everything is working.

Step 3: Add a local trigger

Tap Add Trigger and select Location.

Tap Select Location, then Add Location.

Step 4: Add a location

Select the area around your house and enter the name Home.

Tap Save and then Done to activate the trigger.

Step 5: Finish up

Select a notification sound, and tap Save.

Tap Test Notification to see how it will look like.

Step 6: Open Sesame!

You did it! You will now get a notification when you enter the area around your home.

Expand your notification to get access to your Unlock front door action.

Example: Read your notes 30 min before the 'Special Meeting'

Requires an IFTTT account and a Google calendar.

Step 1: Create a new Pushcut notification

Add a new notification in the Pushcut app.

Set a name and enter title and message.

Step 2: Set default action

Tap Default Action, and set a shortcut or URL that opens your notes document.

This example opens a document in the Google Docs app.

Step 3: Create a new IFTTT applet

Create a new applet in IFTTT.

Tap on +this and select Google Calendar as the trigger service.

Step 4: Set a meeting filter

Tap "Event from search starts", select a calendar and enter a filter string.

Select 30 min as "Time before event starts" and tap Create trigger.

Step 5: Add Webhook as action

Tap +that and select Webhooks as the service.

Select the "Make a web request" action.

Step 6: Paste in Pushcut URL

Go to the Pushcut app and tap the Webhook cell to copy the URL.

In IFTTT, paste the URL into the action and select POST as the method.

Tap Create action, then Finish. You are all set!

Step 7: Be prepared!

You did it! You will now get a notification 30 minutes before each time a special event starts. Taping on the notification will open your notes document directly.

You can use the Test Notification feature to make sure your notification works without waiting for the event.
