Example: Remind yourself to relax in the evening

Requires an IFTTT account and a shortcut that runs your evening HomeKit scene.

Step 1: Create a new Pushcut notification

Add a new notification in the Pushcut app.

Set the name to Evening and enter notification text and title.

Step 2: Add an action

Tap Add Action, call it Run evening scene, and select the shortcut that runs your HomeKit scene.

You can use the Test Notification button in the notification editor to make sure that everything is working.

Step 3: Create a new IFTTT applet

Create a new applet in IFTTT.

Tap on +this and select Date & Time as the trigger service.

Step 4: Set a schedule

Select "Every day at" and set the time to 19:00 (7 pm).

Tap Create trigger.

Step 5: Add Webhook as action

Tap +that and select Webhooks as the service.

Select the "Make a web request" action.

Step 6: Paste in Pushcut URL

Go to the Pushcut app and tap Copy URL.

In IFTTT, paste the URL into the action and select POST as the method.

Tap Create action, then Finish. You are all set!

Step 7: Never forget to relax again

You did it! You will now get a friendly reminder every day to start your evening.

Expand your notification to get access you your Run evening scene action.

Want more?

With a Basic subscription you can add as many actions as you want to your daily evening reminder.

Use the "Keep Notification" toggle on your actions so you can execute several from the same notification.

Example: Unlock your front door when you get home

Requires an IFTTT account and a shortcut that opens your smart lock.

Step 1: Create a new Pushcut notification

Add a new notification in the Pushcut app.

Set a name and enter a welcoming title.

Step 2: Add an action

Tap Add Action, call it Unlock front door, and select the shortcut that opens your smart lock.

You can use the Test Notification button in the notification editor to make sure that everything is working.

Step 3: Create a new IFTTT applet

Create a new applet in IFTTT.

Tap on +this and select Location as the trigger service.

Step 4: Select a location

Tap "You enter an area" and use the map to select the area around your home.

Tap Save and Create trigger.

Step 5: Add Webhook as action

Tap +that and select Webhooks as the service.

Select the "Make a web request" action.

Step 6: Paste in Pushcut URL

Go to the Pushcut app and tap Copy URL.

In IFTTT, paste the URL into the action and select POST as the method.

Tap Create action, then Finish. You are all set!

Step 7: Open Sesame!

You did it! You will now get a notification when you enter the area around your home.

Expand your notification to get access to your Unlock front door action.
